Bringing the Islands Home

For every Pacific Islander living far from the islands, there's a particular kind of homesickness that only music can reach. A single song can put you right back at the family table, in church, or on the beach at home. Nesian FM exists for exactly that feeling — a free, 24/7 stream of island reggae and Pacific music, keeping our people connected to home wherever they are.

Why we started

The Pacific diaspora is spread across the world — from Samoa and the wider islands to New Zealand, Australia, the United States and beyond. Wherever our families have settled, the music of home has travelled with them. We wanted one place, always on, where that music lives: no subscriptions, no barriers, just press play and you're home.

The Frequency of Home

Our tagline isn't just a slogan. "The Frequency of Home — 685 to the World" carries the calling code of Samoa and the idea that home can travel on a radio signal. Whether you tune in from Apia or from the other side of the planet, the goal is the same: to make you feel connected, proud and a little closer to the islands.

What we play

Nesian FM plays island reggae, Samoan classics and fresh Pasifika sounds around the clock. It's the music of celebration and the music of everyday island life — and it never stops, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Want to know more about the sound? Read our guide on what island reggae is.

For the diaspora, for the culture, for our people

More than a station, Nesian FM is a gathering place — a shared frequency for a community that spans the ocean. Every time you press play, you're part of it.
